Tenkasi trip

                         My trip to Tenkasi 

Tenkasi is a Town and headquarters of the newly created Tenkasi district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

The town is famous for the ancient temples and nearby waterfalls. A lot of tourists and locals comes to Tenkasi to enjoy the Old Courtallam Falls. Other famous attractions include Kasi Viswanathar Temple, Aintharuvi, Anniyan Parai View Point and more.

 Tenkasi is one of the 38 districts of Tamil Nadu, India, separated from Tirunelveli District on 22 November 2019. The Government of Tamil Nadu announced its creation on 18 July 2019.

History

The Kashi Vishwanathar Temple at Tenkasi was built in 1467 AD by Parakirama Pandian, Tenkasi is the last capital of the Pandya dynasty.[citation needed] The iconic temple is situated in the banks of Seevalaperi Pond.
